SAIC is seeking a Mission Command and Operational Subject Matter Expert to join our team in Fort Moore, Georgia.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare for and conduct simulation experiments ranging from company/troop studies to division federated experiments.
  • Might be required to work as an Assist Project Lead for experiments.
  • Needs to be capable of organizing and developing SI/MRP manning footprint assignments.
  • Be capable of acting as Assist Project Lead in experimentation and able to review with clients and the experimentation team that proper Force Structure structures are designed and that those structures are modeled correctly for experimentation.
  • Provide doctrinal expertise support to internal experiment efforts as well as the spiral integration efforts needed to support the Model and Simulation team as necessary.
  • Assist the Team Manager in drafting the Mission Rehearsal Concept as well as the Experiment Training Plan for all experiments to be conducted.
  • Needs to become knowledgeable in the use of OneSAF modeling for simulation experiments as well as SWAT modeling for TTX.
  • Ensures communication and coordination of training requirements, TTPs, or Battle Drills required to be implemented by Battle Masters and Node Bosses for simulation experimentation.
  • Be capable of working with and integrating with other MBL teams (both civilian and military).
  • Must have knowledge or be willing to learn about Mission Command System Integration within an experimentation community.
  • Must be capable of identifying the necessary mission command systems required for experimentation.
  • Ensures integration and amounts of mission command systems are identified and built into local networking with the MBL Technology Team.
  • Conducts preliminary checks on mission command systems to ensure they operate as intended and role-playing positions are identified for networking for things such as visual COPs and audio/chat capabilities.
  • Must be a subject matter expert in Operational Planning and Coordination of maneuver formations from brigade to squad level for Armor and Infantry organizations.
  • Must be able to identify operational products for implementation within experimentation are provided to all necessary role-playing personnel.
  • Coordinates with the operational planner to have all operational graphics and documentation loaded into mission command systems as well as the MBL portal.
  • Must be willing to develop Experimentation Training Plans.
  • Such planning requires the candidate be able to identify all forms of mission command training for military role players as well as simulation integration operator training requirements for experimentation.
  • Through federation integration working groups or internal experiment planning, there is always a need to identify the types of training requirements for the utilization of mission command systems as well as SI training to support the experiment.
  • Once the items are identified for training, the MCS-SME makes sure that ample time is allocated in the experiment to train personnel prior to experiment execution.
Qualifications

Required Education:

Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and zero (0) years related experience; four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree.

Qualifications:
  • Must be capable of understanding and communicating information to team members effectively.
  • Must be capable of problem-solving simulation issues and working with other teams for resolution of issues.
  • Must have at a minimum of a four year college degree
  • Must have general knowledge on Army forces, tactics, and capabilities from the individual Soldier up to brigade level echelons
  • Must be capable of teaching and mentoring others in the aspect of military role players on ACM FDUs and conceptual use of future capabilities.
  • Must be able to be adaptive to any situation that presents itself which may impact daily experimentation execution.
  • Must become knowledgeable in experimentation replication activities as well as actions for scripting documentation.
  • Must be responsible to ensure experiment execution activities are conducted in line with experimentation scheduling.
  • Must coordinate for absence or changes in personnel during experimentation execution with the Project Lead and the ET Manager.
Clearance:

Candidate must have an active Secret clearance to start with the ability to obtain a Top Secret.
