Mixing Operator - 1st Shift

We're looking for Mixing Operators to work at our client in Reno, NV! Earn up to $19/hr. working in a fast-paced environment, fun environment, with a focus on quality and continuous improvement. Our client is a leader in food production creating spices and seasoning blends at the highest quality.

These are temp-to-hire positions - convert to a full-time employee after 520 hours of work!

About the Role:
In the Mixing Operator position you will dump and blend seasonings and/or spices to meet customer's specifications and package accordingly.

Pay Rate: Earn up to $19/hr.

Available Shift Times:

• Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow mixing instructions on batch card to produce seasonings and or spices to meet customer's specifications.
• Verify quality of product with QC Lab before starting run.
• Visually inspect product during process to ensure quality is correct. Operator is 100% responsible for the room including quality, sanitation, cleanliness and productivity.
• Fill out the batch card during the run and complete the card at the end of each run.
• Calculate total cartons/ bags produced along with total weights and explain any difference between batch weight and total weight.
• Make sure all safety rules are followed in their room.
• Other duties as assigned.

Key Requirements:

• Able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Sit, stand, walk, and climb stairs up to 10hrs in a day
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Basic math skills required
• Able to multi-task
• Detail oriented
• Good organizational skills
• Excellent attendance and performance
• Able to work a flexible schedule and/or overtime as needed
• 1 year warehouse experience required; food manufacturing preferred
• Experience picking, material handling, and order selection of materials preferred
• Work in an environment that is noisy, dusty and may contain spices with high heat intensity
• Withstand working in cold and hot temperatures for long periods of time
