monday.com Implementation Consultant Job Description

The monday.com Implementation Consultant is responsible for bringing to life the clients vision for their monday.com platform. This role combines business acumen with technical expertise to configure a solution that meets the clients goals and establishes a solid foundation for future enhancements.

You will collaborate daily with a cross-functional agile team of Business Solution Consultants including the Director of Solution Delivery, Analysts, and other Consultants . A team player who capitalizes on the value of each persons skill set is positioned to succeed in this role.

Bring your own knowledge of Business Operations, process workflows, and data management to enhance the offerings of Highlands team. Strong rapport-building skills help the right candidate provide process guidance as well as implementation expertise.

The Ideal Candidate Must Demonstrate:
  • Consultation + Leadership. Gain clients trust by cultivating deep knowledge of their operating environment, their business and their specific use case. Prepare and deliver trainingboth in-person and via web sessionswhen clients rollout monday.com. Generously share your expertise with clients and your Highland teammates, while remaining open to alternate approaches.
  • Strong Communication Skills. Ask lots of questions, comprehend the answers, document your findings. Your proficiency with process flow diagramming, swimlane diagrams, and other visual representations of requirements will be critical to your success in this role. The monday.com Implementation Consultant will take the lead on documenting workflows, configuration, automations, integrations, dashboards, and more.
  • Technical Curiosity. Bring your SaaS (Software as a Service) experience and keep expanding your skills. Master the nuances of monday.com and related systems, such as marketing automation tools, email, instant messaging, and more. Design and Custom- Configure the monday.com platform, leveraging built-in capabilities for automation and integration with other SaaS platforms. Continue to expand your skills, as applicable to the teams work, and stay current with new features and capabilities.
  • Mental Agility. You will work with several monday.com clients concurrently, daily prioritizing your work and preparing for the next interaction with each client. Most projects span 4-8 weeks, with multiple touch points per client per week. Your ability to switch context, maintain rapport, and retain the context for each client will be necessary. You may be responsible to project-manage yourself, working to keep to agreed-upon timelines and budgets


The Ideal Candidate Also Brings Most Of These Skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly and proficiently understand and absorb new information
  • Client-facing consulting experience
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Previous experience in B2B SaaS as technical customer success, implementation manager, technical project management, technological consultant
  • Previous experience with implementation of software and onboarding team members
  • Agile experience, working in sprints, kanban, or scrumban
  • Strong service mentality focused on client satisfaction
  • Demonstrated customer-facing and presentation skills with the ability to establish credibility with executives
  • Experience forming lasting relationships of trust with team members


The Fine Print:
  • Full-time salary and benefits based on current market value
  • Mostly remote work, with a few in-office days per month (Chicago downtown)
  • Some travel required, up to 25%
