Schedule: Part -Time

Shift: Nights - 6:45pm - 7:15am, 2 shifts per week

The community you'll be caring for: 60 MEMORIAL MEDICAL PKWY, Palm Coast, FL 32164

The role you'll contribute: Responsible for the continual observation, documentation and communication of all cardiac rhythm strip monitoring in designated units, as ordered by the patient's physician.

The value you'll bring to the team

• Obtains, interprets, and documents cardiac monitoring data per standard, documenting per standard in the telemetry monitoring system.

• Documents changes in heart rhythms per policy.

• Communicates changes in patient's rhythm pattern and follows escalation process as applicable.

• Assesses and maintains telemetry equipment to ensure proper functioning.

• Enters all telemetry charges if applicable.

• Provides support to patient care staff.

• Maintains monitor room inventory.

• Demonstrates tactfulness, diplomacy,, and courteousness in all contacts with patients, visitors, physicians, and any other health team members.

• Promotes and demonstrates Service Standard behaviors throughout departments.

• Respects and maintains manager / employee / patient confidentiality.

• Maintains an organized work environment

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed :

REQUIRED:

• High school graduate or equivalent

• Must be proficient in the English language

• Monitor technician experience or successful completion of AdventHealth Monitor Technician training program or equivalent

• Basic computer skills

• Pleasant telephone manner and organizational skills

• Ability to work with patients / public in potentially difficult situations

PREFFERED:

• One (1) year monitor tech experience preferred.

• Medical terminology.
