Responsibilities:
  • Meets patients upon arrival, assists with paperwork preparation and documentation, and handles phone calls regarding scheduling, questions, and patient history.
  • Escorts patients to dressing areas and offers assistance as needed for their comfort and preparation.
  • Conducts MRI screenings to ensure patient safety and proper entry into the MRI room, providing completed screening forms to the technologist for review.
  • Assists with lifting and transferring patients to and from exam tables to ensure safe and comfortable positioning.
  • Establishes IV access for contrast administration following established procedures to ensure accurate and safe imaging.
  • Assists technologist in preparing oral contrast for patients, providing necessary instructions and support according to department guidelines.
  • Properly pads, positions, and aligns patients and MRI coils or CT tables for accurate imaging under the technologist's direction.
  • Performs telemetry monitoring during exams if required, provides discharge instructions, reports equipment malfunctions, assists with QC testing, transports patients as needed, and cleans and prepares exam rooms according to established procedures.


Qualifications:

Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one-year of previous medical office experience

Preferred:
  • Medical terminology and recent medical/imaging office experience
  • IV insertion experience
  • Healthcare or customer service experience
  • Basic computer skills

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
