Summary
  • Position Summary
    • This is specialized clinical work performing and assisting with Magnetic Resonance Imaging for use in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: Knowledge of Magnetic Resonance equipment, procedures and techniques, magnet safety and protection as well as anatomy and physiology at a level generally acquired through completion of a two year program in an A.M.A. approved school of Radiologic Technology.
    • License/Certifications: CPR certification.
    • Experience: Prior experience as a CT Scanning Technologist.
    • ARRT registration MRI is strongly preferred or must be obtained within 24 months of employment.
    • Ability to perform/adapt to the changes associated with two different work environments with different equipment.
    • Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail.
    • Analytical ability to determine the best method of providing requested images based on the patient's physical state and pathologies.
    • Interpersonal skills necessary to explain MR procedures to patient to allay apprehensions and elicit cooperation. Must communicate effectively with radiologists.
