INVISTA Polypropylene in Longview, TX, seeks a detail-oriented and experienced MRP (Material Requirements Planning) Controller / Warehouse Supervisor to join our dynamic team.

As an MRP Controller / Warehouse Supervisor, you are key to advancing the business by implementing the latest technologies to manage and optimize the material planning and warehousing processes, ensuring seamless production operations and inventory control.

This role involves coordinating with various departments, analyzing data to forecast material needs, and maintaining accurate inventory records to support manufacturing and business goals.

You will also be responsible for leading a team of warehouse associates, ensuring the accuracy of inventory records, maintaining a safe and organized work environment, and developing your team into a high-performing unit while advancing our vision and culture.

What You Will Do
  • Support and improve our raw materials and railcar management system. You will be able to work with a 3rd party developer and/or our internal development team to manage projects to drive our systems to the next level
  • Define, manage, and improve processes to get the right materials at the right place at the right time for operations to make quality products and for maintenance to provide a stable and reliable process
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the material planning and warehouse processes and implement best practices and new technologies to enhance safety, compliance, efficiency, and accuracy
  • Develop and maintain material requirements plans based on production schedules, sales forecasts, and inventory policies while monitoring inventory levels, reconciling discrepancies, and implementing strategies to minimize excess and obsolete inventory
  • Work with the site reliability team to set up/maintain the correct spare parts in the warehouse using SAP and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems
  • Automate, or place and expedite requisitions for raw materials and components to ensure timely delivery and prevent production delays
  • Supervise the raw material and spare parts warehouse with 2-4 employees facilitating their application of our principles on their day to day
  • Track scorecards with past due Purchase Orders (POs), critical Purchase Orders, and past due invoices partnering with other departments to remove barriers, improving and maintaining processes
  • Control costs of warehouse contractors, off-site storage, and vendor-managed inventory
  • Work with accounting to make sure parts are issued to the correct cost centers/projects so that costs are captured accurately
  • Develop and expand relationships with preferred suppliers, building mutually beneficial relationships which that will allow you to capture value to the business


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Supervisory background
  • Spare parts and/or raw material warehouse experience
  • Working knowledge of MRP (Materials Requirement Planning) system
  • This role is not eligible for Visa sponsorship


What Will Put You Ahead
  • Inventory Control experience
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement Events/Activities
  • SAP, EAM, or another ERP system working experience
  • Advanced Excel
  • Participated in software development/implementation
