Job Description:

Major responsibilities include performing highly advanced (senior-level) computer solution architecting and programming work on the MuleSoft ESB platform for development, customization, and configuration work. Requires thorough understanding of MuleSoft architecture and API development; technical analysis of proposed applications requiring integrations; and providing technical development assistance to other staff and vendor technical staff. Requires knowledge and background in MuleSoft with preferred knowledge as well as COBOL, Java, Salesforce, C# with .NET Core, Oracle, Snowflake and GoAnywhere, including experience with JavaScript frameworks. Requires experience in coding and integration development best practices throughout the deployment cycle, including working with sandbox environments. Requires proven leadership, prioritization, and analytical skills. May assign, review and/or supervise the work of others; must have the ability to address issues/concerns in a professional manner. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Other responsibilities may include coordination of or performing requested research and the analysis required for work proposals, software and systems modifications, and new projects. Overseeing the analysis, designs, plans, diagrams, and verifying procedures for existing and proposed applications. Provides technical advice, assistance, and recommendations in matters related to programming operations and problems, including Production issues.

Essential Job Duties
• Oversight of deployment and platform architecture to support business needs.
• Guidance on platform integration with wider technology strategy, platforms and tooling.
• Design input into deployment and automation pipelines.
• Expert security, authentication and governance guidance.
• Alignment of technology strategy and user requirements to MuleSoft product roadmap.
• Platform implementation, configuration and run best practices and knowledge transfer.
• Review wider business and technology vision and strategy to inform API strategy and ensure maximum value realized.
• Guidance on API reuse approach.
• Review project backlog and consumer requirements to inform platform strategy and enablement plan.
• Identify and design core system APIs and connectors for wide reuse.
• Oversee design of central assets and code snippets to be applied broadly e.g. error handling, logging, caching, auto discovery, etc.
• Ad-hoc expert review of solution designs and implementations.
• Expert performance tuning and debugging as required.
  • Perform ongoing MuleSoft Service layer programming to include developing, testing, documenting, deploying, and maintaining integration applications in the RRC technical environment following industry-standard best practices. This work may include the review of the work of others or of vendors, and of preparation of technical documentation.
  • MuleSoft and other integrations are to be built and maintained to connect business applications developed with Java, Salesforce, C# with .NET Core, Oracle and GoAnywhere, among others.
  • Work may include a variety of MuleSoft Connectors and Flows using Anypoint Studio and includes advanced synch and async messaging, streaming, along with flow routing.
  • Perform the development of processes, diagrams and flowcharts used to represent operations and data flow for applications.
  • Perform the detailed analyses, designs, plans, diagrams, and verification procedures for existing and proposed applications and integrations between applications.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for MuleSoft development, customization, configuration, and integration.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other technical resources and stakeholders regarding status, technical issues, and creative solutions, including Agency and vendor technical staff.
  • Ability to support MuleSoft configuration tasks as necessary.
  • Implement improvements and new functionality in the RRC MuleSoft application.
  • Deliver support and solutions for break/fix issues.
  • Responsible for ensuring adherence to all security, availability, confidentiality, and privacy policies and controls.
  • Must have exceptional communication skills including the ability to communicate with internal customers, troubleshoot bugs and offer technical support as needed for the MuleSoft platform.
  • Work through development bugs and challenges and continue proposing and developing solutions.
  • Assist in the generation or installation of systems software.
  • May prepare instructions and procedures for use during implementation of software modifications, system modifications and/or new products.
  • Perform related work as assigned.

Required Skills:
  • 8 years of experience developing and testing Web Services including RESTful based, and SOAP API based within MuleSoft or other computer languages.
  • 4 years of experience designing secure and scalable APIs using Anypoint Exchange, Anypoint Design Center, Anypoint API Manager, Anypoint Runtime Manager, Anypoint Studio, Data Gateway, and Access Management.
  • 3 years of experience with DataWeave 2.0 programming, and creating applications in Mule 4 in CloudHub.
  • 2 years of experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present and communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, to diverse audiences. Must be able to develop accurate documentation.
  • 2 years of experience in working in fast-paced and ever-changing environments; achieving project deliverables and deadlines; exercising sound judgment in making critical decisions; analyzing complex information and developing plans to address identified issues.
  • 2 years of experience with MuleSoft's CloudHub and Anypoint Platform as an ESB and Deployment point.

Preferred Skills:
  • 4 years of experience using the Database Connector, File connector, and Sockets Connector is required and preferred knowledge with a variety of other connectors such as the SalesForce Connector, Amazon S3 Connector, and Snowflake Connector is ideal
  • 4 years of experience with and understanding of advanced synch and async messaging, streaming, and flow routing.
  • 3 years of experience with the microservices and MVC programming patterns and the SOLID programming principal.
  • 3 years of experience with and practical demonstrated skills with any types of files or stream-based request/response processing and file types including JSON, XML, HTML, RAML, WSDL.
  • 2 years of experience with one or more RDBMS database technologies including Oracle; MS-SQL as a push or pull source; and relational database schema design. Working with a NoSQL database such as DynamoDB and knowledge of Snowflake is a plus.
  • 2 years of experience in Proven ability to lead technical requirements gathering and design, build, and optimize technical systems in support of organizational processes.
  • 2 years of experience in OAuth 2, SAML, OIDC, Identity authorization and management, tokenization, and the creation of highly secure services and SOA's using these technologies or integrating with IDaaS mechanisms.
  • 2 years of experience in developing integration pattens in an enterprise environment which includes applications developed with Java, Salesforce, C# with .NET Core, Oracle and GoAnywhere, among others.
  • 2 years of experience leading MuleSoft technical teams including coaching and mentoring team members.
  • 2 years of experience Expertise with defining non-functional requirements including SLAs and optimizing system performance across services/consuming applications.
  • 2 years of experience in data focused projects, like moving from Legacy to newer systems.
  • 2 years of experience creating Microservice APIs for SalesForce or Snowflake integrations.
  • 1 year of experience Current certification on the MuleSoft platform as a MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect - Level 1, MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect (or similar MuleSoft advanced certification).
  • 1 year of experience with the entire API development lifecycle from design and build to governance and management as a MuleSoft architect on multiple large-scale MuleSoft implementations.
  • 1 year of experience working with or overseeing a MuleSoft Center for Enablement.
  • 1 year of experience Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in data processing, computer science, business administration, or a related field.
  • 1 year of experience Ability to maintain working relationships with internal/external Stakeholders as well as team members.
