SAIC offers exciting and challenging opportunities to support NASA's present and future human spaceflight programs at the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas under the Safety and Mission Assurance Engineering (SMAEC III) Contract. This is an exciting time to be making history with the NASA SMA team assuring continuous human presence on the International Space Station and returning humans to the Moon and then to Mars safely. You will work in a collaborative environment comprised of NASA engineers, Mission Control personnel and astronauts. You will apply design and operations knowledge and expertise in various areas of SMA such as system safety, reliability, quality engineering and assurance, software, probabilistic risk assessment, and others.
Program Analysts contribute to the ongoing performance of the SMAEC II Program Management/Business Office supporting the analysis and evaluation of contract program and business functions. The analyst applies experience to develop and maintain program processes in support of the technical and financial performance on SMAEC III. The analyst will have a highly detail oriented perspective and will work with a senior analyst and manager to contribute and support assessments of monthly performance reporting, metrics, and strategic planning implementation. The analyst will support contract leadership at all levels providing continuity of process implementation and communication of program expectations. This position will further provide recommendations on process improvements and communications throughout each period of performance. In this role the analyst will contribute or be responsible for:
• Annual evaluation and resource estimation in support of contract task orders
• Development of task order metrics and performance based products both monthly and annually
• Interfacing with program control on forecasting and actuals performance
• Working with contract representatives
• Develop project estimates in support of task order performance
• Working with Task Integration Managers in generating monthly resource forecasts
• Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
Qualifications
Qualifications - External
Degree:
Bachelor's degree in business analysis, business administration, finance or related field
Required Skills:
• 10+ years of experience
• Highly detail oriented
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• Excellent documentation skills
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
• Advanced skills in the use of Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to pass a public trust security clearance
Desired Skills:
• Experience in business process management
• Experience in task/work estimation, Cost-Benefit analysis
• Experience in using Microsoft OneNote, Access, PowerBI, and SharePoint
• Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations
