Job Summary: We are seeking a NATS Principle Solution Architect to fill critical knowledge gaps in our NATS infrastructure, setup, and maintenance. This role's main priority is to develop the roadmap and architecture of their NATS infrastructure. This person will have demonstrated knowledge of NATS development and set up and will play a pivotal role in development, mentorship and solutioning best practices in how to use NATS.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Architecture: Design and implement robust solutions using NATS, ensuring efficient data streaming and service utilization, and promoting developer efficiency and process optimization.
Development Guidance: Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in NATS, Nats.io, RabbitMQ, Kafka, and guide the Software Engineering and Integration team on best practices for using NATS in various use cases.
Team Enablement: Empower teams to leverage NATS effectively, focusing on development and architectural best practices.
Data Streaming & Messaging Systems: Create connectors in multiple programming languages, ensuring seamless integration and data flow.
Coding Excellence: Advocate for and ensure adherence to coding best practices, with a focus on Golang and Python scripting.

This is a fully remote position offering 95/hr. - 110/hr. determined during the interview process by the hiring manager.

Required Skills & Experience

7-10 years of data streaming experience using NATS or NATS.io.
Proficiency in Golang and Python scripting.
Experience in solution architecture with the following data streaming platforms: NATS, NATS.io, RabbitMQ, and Kafka.
Experience updating source codes.
Strong background in developing connectors and consuming data from messaging systems.
Familiarity with deployment on cloud services, particularly Amazon EKS.
Excellent training and mentorship skills, with a developer-centric approach.
