The USA Triathlon Internship Program is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the largest multisport organization in the world and the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic National Governing Body (NGB) for the sport of triathlon and other multisport disciplines. Internships at USA Triathlon present unique opportunities to explore new experiences with technology, people, and specific projects that will help guide the trajectory of your chosen career. Our internships are unpaid but specifically designed to provide a rich educational environment for students studying and/or those seeking a career in recreation, athletics, sports management, communication, event planning, or relationship management.

Essential Job Functions
  • Be a resource to a collaborative team to help grow multisport participation in the U.S. at the High School and Collegiate Levels
  • Learn the daily functions of the Sport Development department
  • Help guide the USAT NCAA Recruitment program
  • Manage the NCAA AD and SWA data bases
  • Create content for high school triathlete publications
  • Support the planning and execution of various conferences, clinics and banquets
  • Build out various decks for high end presentations
  • Submit invoices for grants for programs
  • Engage with Name, Image and Likeness programming
  • Participate in the development of the USAT Coach Leadership Series
  • Create databases for USAT around coaches, ADs, medalists in HS single sport, etc.
  • Be a sounding board for programs we do create for existing institutions
  • Assist in the review of the annual year-end AD/SWA/COACH survey
  • Work a minimum of 10-12 hours a week.


Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in, or recently graduated from, an educational program in recreation, athletics, sports management, communication, event planning, relationship management, or a related field.

  • Self-motivated and goal driven; willingness to take on diverse roles and responsibilities
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and proficient in technological systems
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.


The expected duration of the internship is October 2024 - September 2025
This is an unpaid position. Interns have no guarantee of any paid position at the end of the internship
