NetApp Resident Consultant (Secret Security Clearance)

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced NetApp subject matter expert (SME) to support a mission-critical project in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in NetApp ONTAP, AWS Cloud, and Commvault technologies. This role is an onsite position and requires an active secret clearance. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of the storage infrastructure.

AS A NETAPP RESIDENT CONSULTANT, YOU CAN EXPECT TO HAVE THESE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide expert-level support and administration of NetApp storage systems, with a focus on ONTAP architecture
• Manage and optimize storage solutions across both on-premise and AWS Cloud environments
• Oversee data backup and recovery processes using Commvault, ensuring data integrity and availability
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to storage systems, cloud integration, and data protection
• Implement and maintain storage policies, disaster recovery plans, and best practices for data management
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of storage solutions with other IT systems
• Conduct performance tuning, system upgrades, and capacity planning to support operational needs
• Ensure compliance with security protocols and government standards, maintaining the integrity of classified and sensitive information

TO BE SUCCESSFUL, YOU'LL NEED EXPERIENCE SUCH AS:

• Active secret clearance is mandatory
• Minimum 5 years of experience working with NetApp ONTAP systems
• Proficiency in AWS Cloud services and integration with storage solutions
• Strong experience with Commvault for data backup and disaster recovery
• Solid understanding of storage networking protocols (NFS, SMB, iSCSI, FC)
• Experience with performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting storage environments
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, and secure government environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) or equivalent certifications
• Experience with NetApp SnapMirror, SnapVault, and other data replication technologies
• Familiarity with government compliance requirements, including FISMA, NIST, and DISA STIG
