SAIC is seeking a Network Administration Team Deputy for a team of network technicians supporting our customer, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Revolutionary IT Services (RITS) program to oversee a team focused on operational excellence by conducting 24/7/365 monitoring, critical alert handling, incident resolution, ticket queue management, customer service, and other enterprise network operations activities.
NOTE: This position is a fully remote / work from home position.

SAIC is seeking a Network Administration Team Deputy for a team of network technicians supporting our customer, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Revolutionary IT Services (RITS) program to oversee a team focused on operational excellence by conducting 24/7/365 monitoring, critical alert handling, incident resolution, ticket queue management, customer service, and other enterprise network operations activities.
NOTE: This position is a fully remote / work from home position.
Job Duties:
- Lead a staff of 15+ direct reports in the day-to-day operations of the network monitoring team
- Responsible for 24/7/365 monitoring, identifying, and resolving issues proactively, in a timely manner
- Accountable for staff adherence to business processes including but not limited to; conducting planned and coordinated network maintenance, break/fix actions, service level agreements (SLAs) performance, incident resolution, tickets (aging, queue, assignment, etc.), and customer service
- Collaborate with telecommunications vendors to proactively resolve circuit degradations/outages.
- Proactively communicate critical network events to internal teams and external stakeholders in a timely manner
- Effectively manage ticket queues and timely resolution of incidents in support of service level agreements (SLAs)
- Coordinate with customers and stakeholders to ingress, prioritize, and complete work in a dynamic environment
- Enhance enterprise processes by participating in continuous improvement activities and strategic initiatives
- People management duties as they relate to hiring, training, and maintaining a staff of 15+ direct reports.
- Build & maintain strong relationships with internal teams, stakeholders, and customers
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's and five (5) years of experience; four (4) years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; Interim Secret required prior to start, SAIC will help to obtain
- Must be a current US Citizen
- Must have a current DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification (Security+ CE, CySA+ CE, CASP+, ect.) to be considered for this position.
- Experience managing teams of 10+ direct reports in a technology discipline (engineering, operations, etc.)
- Demonstrated proficiency with enterprise network monitoring, IT service, and team collaboration tools including SolarWinds, ServiceNow, SCOM, Spectrum, SOI, Cisco PI, Ansible, Jira, Confluence, Teams etc.
- Demonstrated competency writing clear technical documents including but not limited to standard operating procedures (SOPs), handbooks, guides, install documents, manuals, etc.
- Experience interacting with Internet Service Providers (ISP) during buildout or troubleshooting outages
- Brand agnostic experience maintaining, upgrading, and fixing network infrastructure hardware and software
