NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school graduate and other advanced training. College degree preferred.

1. Minimum two years experience in a wide area network (WAN) environment.
2. Experience in a K-12 school environment preferred.
3. MCSA required or equivalent experience required - MCSE Win 2003 preferred.
4. Expertise in one or more of the following:
5. Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA)
6. Nortel PBX voice/data communications
7. H.323 video conferencing
8. MS Exchange Server or Novell GroupWise
9. MS SQL, Pervasive SQL, MySQL
10. Webpage development
11. Experience with Terminal Services.
12. Experience with Crystal Reports, preferred.
13. Good record keeping skills.
14. Knowledge of computer applications.
15. Proficiency with Windows 98, 2000, XP including registry recovery.
16. Demonstrated ability to work with people as part of a team.
17. Strong communication and listening skills.
18. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
19. Valid Alabama driver's license and good driving record.

REPORTS TO: Technology Coordinator

JOB GOAL: Support the use of technology for instruction, communication and administration system-wide. Assist in the maintenance, administration and expansion of a system-wide voice/data/video WAN from the PC level up. Work with technology team to develop procedures and practices to minimize downtime and maximize network efficiency and services.
