AWS Events Tech Team (ETT) is looking for a Network Development Engineer (NDE) to join our team. We build and operate the network and services that enable AWS events across the globe. These networks are the backbone of AWS events. Our mission is to design, deploy, and support networks that set the global standard for performance, availability, security, and cost, enabling AWS events. Networks are used for providing connectivity to attendees, and employees, as well as enabling live streaming for virtual attendees.

Key job responsibilities

As a Network Development Engineer at Amazon, your core job responsibility is to design network topologies, architectures, and accelerate network automation. Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutions.Understand system inter-dependencies and limitations.Effectively troubleshoot the issues.This is a unique opportunity that will enable you to grow your skills as an engineer, have a lasting impact on AWS events.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 4+ years of major internet routing protocols experience

- 4+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 1+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience

- Experience in architecting networks for video transport and live streaming

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
