Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our team, supporting a critical Department of Defense (DoD) project. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network engineering within enterprise environments, with a focus on implementing and maintaining secure and efficient network operations. This role requires hands-on expertise with VMware, firewall management, VPNs, and the implementation of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network environments, ensuring secure and efficient operations.
• Manage and navigate firewalls, ensuring the security and integrity of network traffic.
• Implement and manage VPNs, providing secure remote access solutions.
• Implement and enforce Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) within a classified enterprise system.
• Support network enterprise operations within a DoD environment, ensuring compliance with DoD standards and requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers and project managers, to integrate network services within the DoD infrastructure.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Stay updated on the latest network technologies and security best practices to continuously improve network operations.

Requirements:

• Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required.
• Security Clearance: Must possess an active Secret Security Clearance.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer in an enterprise environment.
  • Proven experience working within a DoD enterprise network environment.
  • Expertise in implementing and maintaining VMware or Microsoft Hyper-V environments.
  • Experience with firewall management, VPNs, and secure network configurations.
  • Strong familiarity with implementing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) on classified systems.

Preferred Certifications:

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) with relevant DoD experience.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
• Juniper Network Certified Internet Specialist (JNCIS).
