Insight Global is looking for a Network Installation Engineer to work for one of our Higher Education clients in Indianapolis or Bloomington, Indiana, or Boulder, Colorado. This resource will be responsible for setting up and troubleshooting new networks for their top clients. This individual will be responsible for installing networks, setting up routers and switches, plugging in hardware and premade network cables, running fiber and copper connections, and tracking the inventory of network gear and consumables. This resource will need to maintain a clean and organized work environment and create thorough documentation both written and by photo using google spreadsheets.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
3-5 years of experience setting up routers and switches, plugging in hardware and network cables, running fiber/copper connections, and documentation both written and photo
The ability to think critically by themselves to troubleshoot, test, and turn up the network
Experience working in a commercial or business/office environment with a network closet or machine room
Experience with Cisco and Linux servers
Ability to travel across the United States 9-10 days a month (will know travel days 3-4 weeks in advance)
