We are seeking a driven leader with a diverse background to join our network planning team in addressing intricate challenges associated with automating large-scale network planning. As part of this team, you will contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of planning systems for one of the world's largest and most complex networks. In the role of Network Planning Manager, you will lead a team that plays a crucial role in shaping the short term and long term plan for network design, deployment, and operations to accommodate rapid growth and internal product demands. Network Planning Manager Responsibilities


  • Support and lead engineers who are responsible for developing network planning systems for creating multi-year build plans, capacity plans, and supply signals for our data center, AI clusters, backbone and edge networks.

  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships with network engineering, planners, sourcing, program management, software engineering, and other relevant teams to support the growth of our large-scale network infrastructure

  • Support, prioritize and drive technical roadmap to meet organizational and company goals.

  • Foster an environment that empowers engineers to grow their careers by matching their strengths with suitable projects based on skill levels, long-term development and work styles.

  • Contribute to building and maintaining an inclusive workplace culture that values diversity.

  • Regularly evaluate employee performance, address under-performance concerns, and recognize outstanding efforts and results.

  • Engage effectively in high-level technical discussions to exert strategic influence.


Minimum Qualifications


  • 2+ years of direct management experience within the technology sector.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or have equivalent practical experience.

  • Well-versed in network design, topology, lifecycle, and deployments

  • Experience in creating software and developing automation tools for network infrastructure.

  • Proficient in writing and reviewing code in at least one programming language (such as Python, Rust, or C/C++).

  • Experience in building and leading teams, including hiring and managing performance

  • Proven communication skills and a track record of successful cross-collaboration efforts


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience in developing network planning systems and automation for large scale networks

  • Experience in producing network design, deployment plans, and supply signals
