Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead Security Engineer to join our team in Nashville, TN. The successful candidate will lead a team of security engineers in managing and optimizing Cisco security products at scale for a large enterprise healthcare customer. This role requires a deep understanding of Cisco security solutions, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of security in a complex and dynamic environment.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in a senior security engineering role, with a focus on Cisco security products.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco security solutions, including ASA, Firepower, Umbrella, AMP, ISE, and AnyConnect.
  • Relevant Cisco security certifications (e.g., CCNP Security, CCIE Security) are highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry and familiarity with HIPAA regulations is a plus.
  • Ability to work onsite in Nashville, TN, and travel to customer locations as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of security engineers, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
Oversee the deployment, configuration, and management of Cisco security products, including firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, VPNs, and endpoint security solutions.
Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices to protect the enterprise healthcare customer's network and data.
Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions.
Collaborate with other IT teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of security measures with overall network operations.
Monitor security alerts and incidents, and lead the response and remediation efforts to mitigate risks.
Stay current with the latest security threats, trends, and technologies, and proactively recommend enhancements to the security posture.
Prepare and present security reports and metrics to senior management and the customer.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, such as HIPAA, and maintain documentation of security controls and processes.
Act as the primary point of contact for security-related inquiries and issues from the customer.
