Position Summary
This position requires knowledge and experience pertaining to the manufacturing of aerospace, semiconductor, and pharmaceutical components. The position assists with developing standards and procedures during the new product development (NPD) phase - before products are launched for production. Work assignments are broad in scope and require the use of independent judgment and initiative in making decisions.

Essential Position Functions and Responsibilities
This position includes (but is not limited to) the following essential functions:
- Develop standard procedures to trim and assemble new products in the aerospace, military aerospace, laser sintering, semiconductor, and pharmaceutical value streams
- Trim and assemble products during the shakeout/pilot phase to troubleshoot and identify areas for improvement
- Create detailed work instructions for the assembly of new products and edit existing work instructions when required
- Identify areas of improvement on existing products
- Standardize trimming and assembly methods for all areas of production
- Review fixtures with the engineering team during the design phase
- Report weekly on the progress of current NPD projects
- Attend weekly NPD meetings to discuss active NPD projects
- High school diploma/GED
- Two years of experience working on the assembly of plastic parts during manufacturing
- Ability to trim and assemble aerospace, semiconductor, and pharmaceutical parts
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Ability to build assemblies to drawings without guidance
- Good communication and writing skills
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Willing to work overtime as needed by the company/customer
- Capacity to receive and accept feedback
- Ability to conduct plastic welding
