Position Summary
The NICU Aide is a member of the health care team whose primary responsibility is the management and preparation of supplies and equipment for the NICU. In addition, the NICU Aide will be responsible for multiple formula preparations.

As a NICU Aide for Asante, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Provide a clean, healthy, and as safe as possible environment for infants in isolettes.
  • Clean IV pumps and syringe pumps per policy after discontinuation as directed by RN.
  • Stock supplies in all nurseries and ensures all are inventoried and maintained twice daily to ensure that supplies and equipment needed for patient care are always available.
  • Ensures proper preparation of formula in an aseptic manner and ensures proper labeling of all prepared feeding mixture (ingredients, date, time prepared, patient name, and MR/ID number).
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to adjust workload or duties in response to change in work volume, emergencies, staffing, or scheduling.

Qualifications

  • No previous experience required, although some experience in a patient care environment is preferred .
  • CNA: Certified Nursing Assistant licensed by the Oregon State Board of Nursing, preferred
