A Steward or Dishwasher is primarily responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all hotel china, silverware, and cookware. This person must have good communication skills and have the ability to lift, pull and push a moderate amount of weight. This is a fast paced position that will involve constant customer interaction.

JOB SCOPE:

• Responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness of the employee cafeteria. Uses the necessary uniform during the shift. Other duties as required.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Cleans cafeteria (tables, counters, etc.) thorough the day and sweeps/ mops floors.
• Cleans all equipment in the kitchens, receiving area, loading dock, room service, service area, elevator, and walk in boxes.
• Cleans coffee machine, juice machine, refrigerators, walls, garbage cans, R.S. tables, hot boxes, etc.
• Keeps in excellent condition sanitation of the kitchens and burger joint.
• Uses the pressure machine.
• Over night position also cleans dishwashers.
• Pick up garbage on F&B floors.

Garbage Related Tasks

• Picks up garbage.
• Drives tractor in the compactor area.

QUALIFICATIONS:

ESSENTIAL:

• 6 months experience in restaurant work or in a position that provides the skills necessary for this position.

DESIRABLE:

• Fluent in English

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

Other Physical Skills

• Lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying in excess of 60lbs.
• Standing, walking for long period of time.
