The role you'll contribute:

Performs quality EEG recordings. Has the ability to scan and correlate study information. Facilitates all aspects of study completion and reporting. Is knowledgeable in and carries out all applicable processes of the department. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures. Teaches and directs the work of other staff and students as required. Participates in the facility performance improvement program. Adheres to the Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

• Explains testing procedures to patient and family using age-appropriate guidelines
• Performs studies with appropriate documentation, observes patients, troubleshoots equipment and physiological artifacts, and utilizes appropriate resources
• Evaluates recorded diagnostic data and reports abnormal findings to nurses and physicians
• Recognizes and takes appropriate actions to respond to evolving patient care needs
• Teaches and directs the work of other staff and students as requested
• Maintains diagnostic testing equipment and supplies
• Monitors patients in Epilepsy Monitoring Units (EMUs), while adhering to protocols and procedures

Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

• High School Education or equivalent
• One year of technical experience or pass Competency Assessment
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
