The Special Education Program in the School of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University is seeking to fill 1 Non-Tenure Track, part-time Visiting Lecturer position within the Department of Educational Psychology. Those with a Ph.D. in Special Education are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will join the team of Tenure Track and Academic Professional Track faculty within an online Special Education Master's program that includes a Verified Course Sequence (VCS) that supports cohort students toward earning their Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.

VISITING POSITION FOR DISTANCE EDUCATION COURSES : This position is for teaching a single summer online course: SPED 642: Prevention, Support, and Intervention for Students with Emotional and Behavior Problems; Credits: 3 Lecture Hours. There is no expectation of continuing employment. Thie academic appointment will begin July 1, 2024, and end on August 13, 2024.

The Special Education Program is in the Department of Educational Psychology (epsy.tamu.edu), with other graduate programs in Counseling Psychology (APA accredited), School Psychology (APA accredited), Bilingual Education, and Learning Sciences (including Research, Measurement, and Statistics, as well as Educational Technology). The Department has strong ties with the Psychology Department as well. The Department and University provide a stimulating and supportive environment for research, teaching, and programmatic funding with a strong value for collaborative and interdisciplinary approaches in research and practice. Qualifications

Applicants for this position are required to be certified as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst and have a doctoral degree in special education. Applicants must have strong communication skills and an ability to work cooperatively with students, faculty, and graduate assistants. Applicants must have State of Texas: Special Education EC-12 Certification and an exemplary record of accomplishment in an applied setting.
