Description and Requirements

Reporting to the President of Lenovo North America, the NA Chief Marketing Officer oversees all marketing and communications for the North American market. This Executive Director role focuses on leading a revenue-generating marketing organization, acquiring new customers and partners, increasing awareness, consideration, and preference for the entire Lenovo portfolio, and demonstrating an industry-leading ROI for all marketing and communications activities.

The ideal candidate is strategic, results-driven, and willing to roll up their sleeves to help get the job done. This leader should be fluent in both the analytical and creative sides of omnichannel B2B and B2C marketing. They must have experience working in a matrixed organization and be knowledgeable about partnering with and aligning with global sales, marketing, and product initiatives.

The preferred location for this role is Morrisville, NC.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and drive a strategic, innovative end-to-end marketing and communications plan for Lenovo North America
  • Drive the implementation of marketing campaigns that meet business objectives and increase sales leads
  • Partner closely with the Business Group leaders on positioning that leverages and highlights Lenovo's key differentiators
  • Work cross-functionally with key internal stakeholders to plan, develop, and launch creative assets that communicate compelling stories in support of the global brand campaigns and local initiatives
  • Develop effective working relationships with the office of the CEO, corporate executives, and senior staff to drive business goals
  • Manage a multi-million dollar marketing budget and drive adherence to company policies and industry best practices
  • Build, manage, and coach a regional marketing team. Current organizational functions include: Commercial Marketing Strategy & Activation, Consumer Marketing Strategy & Activation, Lead Generation & Development, Marketing Strategy & Analytics, Marketing Operations, Channel Marketing, Events, E-Commerce, Public Relations, Social Media, Executive & Employee Communications, and Community Engagement.

Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • 15+ years of experience in marketing and/or communications leadership in a technology company

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven leadership experience executing marketing programs, including planning, prioritizing, and implementing strategy
  • Must have at least ten years of experience managing global or regional, culturally diverse teams
  • Ability to develop and execute high-ROI marketing programs with a focus on lead conversion rates and marketing-influenced pipeline
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Masters or MBA preferred
  • Data Center experience preferred
