Responsibilities:
- Use the nursing process within Relationship-Based Care to create a healing environment. Set daily goals and holistic care plans involving patients as partners. Identify and address clinical, social, safety, psychological, and spiritual issues. Communicate effectively with care providers, document patient information comprehensively, and align with organizational goals to improve patient safety and satisfaction. Build compassionate relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Be accountable for professional development to enhance practice quality and patient care. Engage in unit-based governance, goal setting, and support the change process. Act as a fully engaged team member and respond to team needs. Participate in work that improves patient care and the professional environment, adapting to change.
- Participate in quality improvement efforts, identifying opportunities and communicating them to colleagues and management. Take responsibility for improving patient satisfaction. Use research and evidence-based practice to enhance clinical care, identify relevant research issues, discuss improvement opportunities, and influence patient care plans.
Qualifications:
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
*Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.

- Apply adult learning principles in educating patients, families, students, and new staff. Guide patients through their care and transition. Support the development of students and colleagues, possibly serving as a preceptor. Encourage open dialogue and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience behavioral health experience preferred
- BSN preferred (NOT required)
- Build positive, caring relationships with managers, physicians, ancillary/support staff, other departments, and patients/families
- Work effectively in a complex environment with multiple/changing priorities and specialized equipment
- Mobility and visual manual dexterity
- Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and positioning of patients
- Flexible work options, including night and weekend shifts with premium pay (requires at least 6 months of nursing experience)
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC) within 60 days of hire/transfer
- Registered Nurse (RN) OR Temporary Practice Permit (TPP)
- Act 34
