Job Profile

Nurse Clinician I (NCI)`s entry level knowledge base has been validated by successful completion of NCLEX requirements for professional nurse licensure. Requires supervision while learning to apply knowledge and skills in the delivery of safe, general nursing care. NCI is expected to manage basic nursing care assignments in routine, predictable situations with supervision.

Minimum Qualifications:
a) Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing; BSN preferred.
b) Associates Degree in Nursing

Licenses & Certifications:
a) Registered Nurse: Registered Nurse License to practice in the State of Texas.
b) Basic Life Support from a hospital-based American Heart Association (AHA) approved program.

Other certificates as required by unit/service.

Must be adequate to meet the following communication requirements:
Accurately interprets and transmits clinical information in English, both verbally and in written form; and Sends and receives messages patients/families/SOs can comprehend.

Special Requirements:
Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact), Writing/Composing, Bilingual Preferred (Any Language)

Work Schedule: Weekends, Holidays, Flexible and On Call
