DESCRIPTION

The East Campus Medical Center Telemetry unit consists of 42 beds. The Department provides care for adult medical and surgical patients requiring a higher level of care including cardiac monitoring. Conditions for which patients are typically admitted include cardiac andcardiovascular diseases, respiratory, neurological, renal and metabolic disorders, post general surgery.
The Nurse Manager is involved in ensuring optimal patient outcomes through effective leadership and / or provision of patient care delivery in assigned nursing unit(s) or area(s). Promotes environment for a shared voice in nursing practice and exchange of ideas to continually improve nursing and patient care outcomes. Accountable for the quality, safety, patient experience and cost-effectiveness of patient care. Consults and collaborates with other health care professionals to coordinate the management of patient care. Serves as a resource to staff, physicians, students and others.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Annual Full Pay Range: $145,200 - $289,000 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $69.54 - $138.41

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Registered Nurse (RN) issued by the state of California.
- Current ART certification, or BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications at time of hire with commitment to get ART within six (6) months of hire date.
- Seven (7+) or more years of relevant experience, including at least three (3) years of RN experience in an adult acute care hospital at the telemetry level of acuity or higher.
- Three (3+) or more years of recent RN supervisory or management experience.
- Proven hospital management skills, with progressive expertise in patient care services.
- Knowledge to manage disaster incidents, sentinel events and ability to problem solve with critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant healthcare information technology and patient care workflows and processes.
- Proven knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, as well as related legislative, accreditation, licensing and compliance environments.
- Must have excellent skills to communicate and effectively influence all levels of staff, physicians, patients and external constituents, both verbally and in writing.
- Master's Degree in Nursing or relevant area.
- Specialty certification in relevant area (e.g. PCCN, CCRN).
- Process improvement / Lean Six Sigma experience.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
