The Opportunity

The Cardiology Nurse Practitioner will have clinical responsibilities primarily in the office/clinic setting, with additional responsibilities conducting new patient consultants at Anna Jacques Hospital.

Under the direction of a physician in Pentucket Medical Associates, the NP will assess and manage patients in the outpatient setting following established standards and practices. Services may include performing complete histories and physical exams, performing or ordering simple diagnostic tests, preparing a diagnosis and implementing procedures for illnesses as well as urgent cases.

Schedule

We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Nurse Practitioner with weekly schedules consisting of 35 hours of clinical, patient-facing time, and 5 hours of administrative time. The NP will work (4) 10-hour shifts Monday-Friday with flexibility to select their preferred day off. Below is a sample schedule that is subject to change based on the needs of the practice and the new hire.

o 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM (hospital consults)

o 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM (clinic)

o 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM (hospital consults)

• Tuesday

o OFF

• Wednesday

o 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (clinic)

• Thursday

o 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM (hospital)

o 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM (clinic)

o 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM (hospital)

• Friday

o 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (hospital)

Qualifications

Qualifications

The ideal candidate profile is an adaptable Nurse Practitioner who has an interest in providing patient-facing care in a fast-paced, community practice. When hiring, we look for candidates who possess not only the relevant licensure, experience, skills, and competencies, but also positive attitudes, innovative spirits, and genuine passion for the work.

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a master's degree required
  • Current Massachusetts state license (Nurse Practitioner) required
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
  • Advanced Practice Provider work experience preferred, particularly in a community-based ambulatory setting or cardiology practice
  • Epic experience preferred
