POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the supervising physician, assesses patients and prescribes/delivers medical care; performs focused case management activities by prescribing/rendering medications; collaborates with employees and other providers; is accountable to the Urgent Care Manager for process development/improvement and professional conduct.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. License to practice a nurse practitioner, having met all requirements.
2. Minimum 6 months experience in emergency room or urgent care preferred.
3. Occupational Health experience a plus.
4. Computer skills are desirable.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Ability to lift and move at least 40 pounds.
2. Ability to se colors.
3. Ability to hear and distinguish sound, to check BP.
4. Ability to reach overhead and grasp objects.
5. Ability to remain calm, continue to function effectively and develop priorities during stressful situations.
6. Ability to communicate effectively using written and verbal media.
7. Ability to move and operate equipment.
8. Manual dexterity adequate to keypunch data on a keyboard.
