Nurse Practitioner

Insight Global is looking for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to service one of our healthcare clients small clinic local to Jersey City, NJ. This person will be working with a small staff of one medical assistant, an RN and themselves providing care to the patients at the client site. Responsibilities include: Minor in-office procedures and testing: COVID testing (Rapid/PCR), Strep Throat, Influenza or Mono POCT testing, Splinter removal, Urinalysis/HCG testing and analysis, knowledge of preforming phlebotomy (MA on staff can perform phlebotomy but may need to occasionally preform if she is not available in office), administering nebulizer, and reading EKGs. Cerumen impaction removal, Eye care (eye wash available in office for foreign body), STD testing, referrals to appropriate physicians for preventative care, wound care (minor burns, cuts, blisters), evaluating acute musculoskeletal injuries and splinting minor injuries (wrist, fingers). Ability to evaluate, diagnosis, and prescribe treatments of acute care to patients. Administer vaccinations (TDAP, travel vaccines upon request), allergy shots (working collaboratively with patient's allergist) and educating patients regarding aftercare.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's Degree Nursing (BSN) or Masters Degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree (DNP)

NJ RN License (NCLEX-RN)

Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)-NPs -- the national board certification

Graduation from an NP Program & National Certification

Documentation of NCCPA certification

Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable)

State Narcotic/Controlled Substance license if required in NJ

New York ROPES registration (New York Registration for Official Prescriptions and e-Prescribing Systems)

Strong diagnostic skills

Demonstrate empathy and effective communication with patients
