OptumCare, the largest network of medical groups in the nation, is seeking a Per Diem Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our corporate care team in Tell City, IN. As a Primary Care Provider, you will be afforded an opportunity to practice whole person primary care without many of the constraints of a traditional community practice. At Optum, we are transforming healthcare nationally while providing dedicated health care delivery locally. This position is per diem, to assist in covering provider paid time off and CME. The clinic operates on 4 (10 hr) shifts, 7am-5pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. No weekends or holidays.

Position Highlights

• Deliver the highest quality primary care services including:
• Wellness and Preventative Physical Exams
• Acute care of minor illness and injuries
• Chronic Disease Management and Longitudinal care
• Minor procedures (suturing, splinting, incision/drainage, etc.)
• Lifestyle and well-being counseling
• Medical management of behavioral health conditions
• Telemedicine services
• Provide clinical leadership of worksite staff
• Work closely with a certified medical assistant

Required Qualifications:

• Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the ANCC/AANP or certified as a Physician Assistant through the NCCPA
• 2+ years of experience working independently
• Active, unrestricted Indiana license
• Unrestricted DEA license (or willing to obtain prior to start)
• Must be CPR certified (or willing to obtain prior to start)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Willing and able to assist at other onsite locations in the area or virtually
