Job Summary:
The Advanced Practice Provider will serve in a full-time role providing Critical Care management of patients in the Cardio-Pulmonary ICU and on the Step-Down Unit .
Responsibilities will be but not limited to:
Arterial line placement, central line placement, management of Swan-Ganz catheters, ECMO/Impella knowledge, management of inotropic medication and multiple drips, and ventilator settings and management.
Minimum Qualifications:
NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required. Master's Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant & current National Certification consistent to the clinical practice also required. Have a NPI number and be Medicare enrolled with a Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) (or eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire.
Minimum of one (1) year cardiac surgery critical care experience.
CPR-BLS and ACLS Certification required at the time of appointment.
Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Must successfully pass pre-employment and credentialing clearances.

Nights with rotating holidays and weekends.

- Participate in patient management.
- Perform and/or order selected surgical procedures, tests, and exams for diagnostic purposes.
- Comprehensive understanding and interpretation of lab and test results.
- Complete admissions from the ED, transfers from outside facilities, and inpatient consults.
