Job Duties:
Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): This involves helping patients with basic tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Mobility Assistance: Nursing aides assist patients with mobility issues, helping them move around, transfer from beds to wheelchairs, and walk if possible.
Vital Signs Monitoring: They may be responsible for measuring and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
Observation and Reporting: Nursing aides observe and report any changes in patients' physical or emotional conditions to the nursing staff.
Feeding Assistance: Some patients may require assistance with eating, and nursing aides help with feeding and monitoring dietary intake.
Maintaining a Clean Environment: Nursing aides contribute to maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for patients. This includes changing bed linens, cleaning patient rooms, and ensuring overall cleanliness.
Providing Comfort and Emotional Support: Offering emotional support and companionship to patients is an essential part of the role, especially in long-term care settings.
Transporting Patients: Nursing aides may be responsible for transporting patients within the healthcare facility for various procedures or activities.
Job Requirements:
2+ year minimum experience required.
High School diploma, work experience, valid ID Would like some with a CNA type of background, no need for license
**Will be exposed to patients that may have COVID or work on units with COVID Patients.
Orientation will be weekly.
Start dates will be determined. Orientation can last 5 to 7 days. .
