Responsibilities

The Nursing Assistant is defined as a member of the healthcare team who is accountable for patient care supportive services under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • CNA/Nursing assistant/care giver experience.
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) required
  • Must maintain annual required competencies in the department
  • Requires:
    • Ability to read speak and write English
    • Ability to work as a team member to meet department goals and objectives
    • Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy and precision under multiple demands
    • Ability to work effectively under multiple demands and adjust priorities as circumstances required
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule and be willing to work additional hours if needed
    • Ability to demonstrate STARR behaviors and core values for Woodland Healthcare
  • Current BLS certification required (must be certified through the American Heart Association
  • Demonstrates ability to position move and transfer patients utilizing patient's mobilization equipment and/or appropriate resources.
  • Physical able to stand stoop and lift.
  • Walks and stands at least 50% of the shift.
  • Good manual dexterity and visual and auditory acuity.
