Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital is seeking a highly motivated transformational Nurse Leader for a 36 bed inpatient medical telemetry unit. The Director will be responsible to plan, evaluate and shepherd the delivery of patient care in a collaborative multidisciplinary teaching model. Necessary skills needed for this position, including acute patient care, professional practice, quality outcomes, staff engagement, patient satisfaction and fiscal management.

In collaboration with the Associate Chief Nurse, the Nursing Director plans, organizes, implements and oversees clinical and program development in the assigned area(s) to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Brigham & Women's Faulkner Hospital as well as the regulatory requirements of the JCAHO and other applicable federal, state and local regulatory or accrediting agencies. Responsibilities include oversight of professional nursing practice. Planning, management and operation of assigned area(s) to ensure quality patient care for patients in the following age groups: adolescents, adults and geriatrics. The Nursing Director will also assure the practice of the Patient and Family Centered Care Model in an environment that exemplifies best practice.

EDUCATION and LICENSES:

  • Masters Degree in Nursing or a relative field required OR Enrollment in a Master's Degree Program in Nursing or related field required.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
  • Must have a Massachusetts Registered Nurse Licensure.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers required
  • 5-10 years in applicable field, progressive leadership experience, management experience preferred.
