The role you'll contribute:

Under the direct supervision of the Production Manager, the lead cook is responsible for preparing of food in accordance with established recipes, dietary compliance and sanitation regulations. The Lead Cook will ensure that patient tray services, cafeteria food and services are performed efficiently and effectively.

The value you'll bring to the team:

• Oversees the patient tray services and cafeteria food preparation for Advent Health Ocala.
• Prepares attractive and palatable food for patients, Café and doctor's lounge in quantities dictated by the menu and food production sheets.
• Ensures preparation and serving of food services for patients, Café and catering.
• Participates in scheduling of cooks. Ensures adequate staffing coverage to meet food preparation needs
• Maintains sanitary conditions of floors, stove, worktables and other equipment used in the performance of duties; records temperatures appropriately following all HACCP Guidelines.

Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

• High School diploma required.
• Minimum 3 years cooking experience preferably in a lead cook or higher position in a healthcare or retail food service operation.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:
• Current Serve Safe or other food safety or HACCP certification upon 90 days of hire.
