GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Senior Business Analyst performs advanced business analysis work in the Child Support, Contract Operations Division. Work involves participation in and overseeing the gathering, developing, and documenting of user requirements; works in an Agile environment serving as Product Owner for Contract Operations product development, reviewing, assessing, and developing business processes; creating and validating user acceptance testing; and developing recommendations for improvements to current business processes. May supervise the work of others. May train others.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS
Analyzes existing business processes, tools, and contracts and identifies opportunities for improvement
Gathers, develops, documents, and tests user requirements for systems and contracts
Conducts research for Contract Operations and presents findings
Documents or creates business processes
Performs related work as assigned
Maintains relevant knowledge necessary to perform essential job functions
Attends work regularly in compliance with agreed-upon work schedule
Ensures security and confidentiality of sensitive and/or protected information
Complies with all agency policies and procedures, including those pertaining to ethics and integrity
Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; experience in the following (or closely related) fields may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis: auditing, business administration, business or system analysis, Child Support Program, computer science, contract monitoring or management, management information systems
Experience: Three years of full-time experience working in the following (or closely related) fields: auditing, business administration, business or system analysis, child support program, computer science, contract monitoring or management, management information systems; may substitute a master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related discipline for two years of the required experience
Knowledge of software development life cycle and systems development life cycle concepts
Skill in business analysis methodologies; in analyzing and evaluating complex processes, policies, and issues; and in developing creative and workable solutions to complex problems and issues.
Skill in collaboration and problem solving
Skill in handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines
Skill in effective oral and written communication
Skill in exercising sound judgment and effective decision making
Ability to receive and respond positively to constructive feedback
Ability to work cooperatively with others in a professional office environment
Ability to provide excellent customer service
Ability to work in person at assigned OAG work location, perform all assigned tasks at designated OAG workspace within OAG work location, and perform in-person work with coworkers (e.g., collaborating, training, mentoring) for the entirety of every work week (unless on approved leave)
Ability to arrange for personal transportation for business-related travel
Ability to work more than 40 hours as needed and in compliance with the FLSA
Ability to lift and relocate 30 lbs.
Ability to travel (including overnight travel) up to 5%
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Certified Texas Contract Manager (CTCM)
Knowledge of state and federal Child Support laws
