Occupational Therapist (OT) PRN

Terraces of Lake Work Care Center, a Skilled Nursing Facility, is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist to join our staff.

As an Occupational Therapist you will have to plan, organize and conduct occupational therapy programs to help rehabilitate those impaired because of illness, injury or psychological or developmental problems. In order to treat patients properly and accordingly, you will have to test and evaluate their physical and mental abilities and analyze medical data to determine realistic rehabilitation goals for patients. Part of this process is to select activities that will help individuals learn work and life-management skills within limit of their mental and physical capabilities.

You must truly be a patient advocate and take an interest in the lives of the people you help. Furthermore, you must be a tremendous team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills, as your job depends on establishing good relationships with not only coworkers and patients, but family members as well. Additional requirements include:

• Degree and license from a board certified program in occupational therapy
• Licensed in the State of Florida
• CPR Certification
• Being somewhat knowledgeable about basic computer operating functions
• Having the basic skill set to lift and transfer patients safely
• Possessing excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks and priorities at once
• Maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of the position
