Responsibilities

Job Title: OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY TECH

Assists Occupational Therapists in performing occupational therapy procedures. Maintains inventory, department files and assists with maintenance of a clean, safe, orderly department. Assists with other department and patient care needs as delegated by the manager/supervisor.

The Acute Care Therapy Department at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center provides the evaluation and treatment of patients with a wide variety of diagnoses in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding medical setting. Our Therapists are critical members of a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to achieving optimal outcomes for our patients. We are committed to teamwork and collaboration; our participation in interdisciplinary patient rounding occurs daily on a number of units throughout the facility providing therapy professionals to work autonomously.

Join us at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center's ACUTE CARE INPATIENT THERAPY DEPARTMENT as we are seeking a Full Time OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY TECH to join our Team! You will have the opportunity to evaluate patients with complex neurological, surgical, trauma/orthopedic, medical and cardiopulmonary diagnoses. We administer treatment and coordinate therapy services to patients within a Level I Trauma Center. Prefer experience working in the Acute Care Hospital setting with a variety of diagnoses.

Qualifications

Minimum :

Six (6) months patient care experience required.

Customer service oriented,

Computer skills required.

HS Diploma/GED.

AHA-BLS Healthcare provider card required.
