Description

Maintenance of the daily operations and general management of a multi provider Physician Practice. Allocating and assigning duties to employees, monitoring activities and operations of the Practice components.

Complies with organizational and regulatory policies for handling confidential patient information.

Demonstrates excellent customer service through his/her attitude and actions, consistent with the standards contained in the Vision, Mission, and Values of the organization.

Adheres to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and TJC standards and/or standards from other accrediting bodies.

Essential Functions

Overall operational responsibility for the routine business and clinical functions through Administrative and clinical staff including front desk, medical records, nursing and ancillary services to ensure maximum utilization of resources and the efficient delivery of services for assigned practices.

Coordinates staff scheduling

Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of clinical and clerical services.

Directs the processing and distribution of internal and external mail.

Performs quality assurance studies and directs the implementation of quality initiatives.

Maintains adequate inventory of all medical and office supplies

Provides coverage for clinical and front office as necessary to continue and promote normal daily office functions

Non-Essential Functions

Perform other duties as assigned.

Attends and participates in staff meetings, in-service, projects and committees as assigned.

Adheres to and supports policies and procedures of the STRHS.

Works scheduled shifts including overtime, when necessary.

Accepts all call schedule as directed.

Maintains a neat and professional appearance in compliance to the existing dress code.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

Minimum Education

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Associates Degree preferred.

Minimum Work Experience

Three to five years' experience in a variety of office functions.

Required Skills

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Ability to set priorities; coordinates multiple tasks, organizes tasks, and maintains control of workflow.

Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with Physicians, direct reports, patients and families.
