Job Duties
Manages the Treatment Office for the Institutional Program Manager providing clerical and secretarial support in the maintenance of confidential files, preparation of confidential reports, letters, memoranda, and other security related documents in accordance with State, Departmental and Institutional policy and procedure. Provide clerical assistance for the Institutional Program Manager and Corrections Institutional Rehab Counselors. Records counselor caseload assignments, compiles inmate listing and records minutes of meetings. Types and distributes Institutional Classification Committee dockets and other paperwork.
This is a wage position limited to working no more than 1,500 hours per agency during the 12-month period of May 1 - April 30, regardless of the hire date. The wage employment period resets on May 1 of the following year. All wage employees are limited to working no more than 29 hours per week on average over the 12-month period. This wage position offers no state benefits.
Minimum Qualifications
Office management experience and working with both internal and external staff and visitors. Excellent computer skills, with demonstrated experience in Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word. Demonstrated ability to type accurately, type reports and develop and use data tables. Experience in filing manually and automated. Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Good communication skills both orally and written effectively.
Additional Considerations
Advanced Knowledge or experience in an administrative assistant role, office management or related field.
