ONSITE IN AZ - DevOps Engineer

This resource will be responsible for handling DevOps (Azure) Deployments, pipelines, azure cloud. This company is creating a Dataverse and MS Dynamics environment that will go live in February 2025. They are needing a DevOps Engineer to help them create and set up the CI/CD Pipelines, build data pipelines and handle everything outside of the UI. They will be assisting with deployments, pipelines, understanding the data entities and mapping with cloud platforms setting up MS Dynamics as an application and Dataverse. The Cloud Data Platform they will use is already built in Synapse and Azure Databricks.

Creation of CI/CD pipelines for the Dataverse and MS Dynamics environment using Azure DevOps to automate the build, test and deployment processes.
Creation of Data pipelines for the Dataverse and MS Dynamics environment
Experience with ADO and Azure Functions
Understanding of Azure Data Factory concepts Good to have not required
Configuration management via : ARM Templates/ Ansible/ Terraform
Mapping of data entities with cloud platforms
Setting up MS Dynamics as an application and Dataverse

Environment: They have moved fully off the mainframe and are now in Azure and Dynamics as well as Dataverse. The current transactional system is in Dynamics which connects to Dataverse then on to a Data Lake, Warehouse in Synapse and Data Bricks. Additionally, some of the work is in Azure Cloud Data Platform commercial space. The system they moved off of is the core of their business (Child Welfare Information System) and is responsible for supporting investigations, case management and payments. It ingests data from other agencies through SFTP file drops and pickups. They have some working APIs, but their goal would be to have all data stored in their Azure Cloud Data Platform.

Day in the Life: Since they are going from legacy product to modernization. Have a short daily standup, run a sprint, and try their best to keep people out of meetings to free up for development time. From a DevOps perspective will be isolated for this one project, heads down, as there is a lot of work to do between Governance and environment set up in DevOps right now. That means there will be lots of leaway and opportunity to put your hands in and shape the growth/direction of this product.

Required Skills & Experience

10+ Years of DevOps Experience, specifically Azure
Experience building CI/CD Pipelines
Experience building Data Pipelines within Azure
Strong understanding of Data Entities and how to map within Azure Cloud
Experience with MS Dynamics and Dataverse
