ONSITE Industrial Engineer

Insight Global is looking for an Industrial Engineer for one of our manufacturing clients in the upstate of SC. The IE report to the Industrial Engineering manager for North America and work on a team of ~5 along with other IEs that are at different plants. The day to day is outlined below:
Productivity and Cost Tracking:
Monitor manufacturing productivity and cost performance across the plant.
Analyze production data, identify trends, and propose efficiency improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cost-saving measures.
Time Studies and Process Modeling:
Conduct time studies and process modeling for existing and new processes.
Use data-driven insights to refine internal capacity and costing tools.
Ensure accurate time estimates for production tasks.
Cost Analysis and Recommendations:
Perform detailed cost analysis, including labor, materials, waste, and work-in-progress (WIP).
Investigate cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
Provide cost improvement recommendations to plant leadership.
Bills of Material (BOM) and Routings:
Maintain accurate BOMs and routings in the MRP (Material Requirements Planning) system.
Collaborate with production and procurement teams to ensure data integrity.
Update BOMs as needed for product changes.
Identifying Opportunities:
Work closely with plant leadership to identify opportunities for process optimization.
Evaluate equipment, materials, layouts, and methods to enhance production efficiency.
Drive initiatives that improve quality and reduce costs.
Inventory Valuation and Reporting:
Assist the plant finance team during month-end inventory valuation.
Ensure accurate inventory counts and valuation.
Compile data for year-end reports on standard cost changes and procedural updates.
Data Management and Organization:
Organize and consolidate data from various sources (productivity metrics, cost data, etc.).
Create clear and concise reports for management review.
Experience in data organization and reporting is highly valued

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering
Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (emphasis on Excel, charts, metrics, macros, etc.)
VBA (Visual Basic for Applications in Microsoft)
Knowledge of Lean principles, Quality Control, and Six Sigma strongly preferred.
Familiarity with accounting terminology - applicable for maintaining accurate Bills of Material and routings in MRP/costing system.

Power BI
Manufacturing experience/with textiles even bette
