Insight Global is looking for a Windows Application Engineer to join a large financial client in Dallas, TX. As a Windows Application Engineer you will help maintain and support the firm's Windows Desktop Services with a focus on supporting custom software package deployments to meet the company's needs and involve in the support activities. In this role your daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Work with a global team of highly motivated platform engineers and software developers
- Test and deliver software packages for distribution to user's desktops.
- Perform Quality analysis and UAT for packages.
- Deploy App packages using enterprise software deployment tools like MECM and Tanium
- Work with Applications owners/u to troubleshoot and resolve any issues identified via standard ticketing tools like JIRA and ServiceNow
- Work with a global team of highly motivated platform engineers and software developers

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience working as a Windows Application Engineer
- In-depth knowledge in Windows Operating Systems
- Experience with an enterprise software deployment toolset: MECM or Tanium
- Extensive experience with one or more scripting technologies: PowerShell, VBS, SQL, Windows Batch
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex and escalated Application issues.
- Hands-on experience with WIX, MSIX and Intune
- Sound knowledge of Active Directory Services and Global Group Policies
- Working Knowledge on popular ticketing systems.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Enterprise-level Financial Services experience is preferred.
- Team player who can work in a fast paced, environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skill and able to work with remote counterparts internally
- Familiar with Linux basics & VMware
