Research Focus Area: Cancer Prevention and Health Equity Research
Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor (tenure-eligible) to conduct research focused along the continuum of cancer prevention to enhance uptake, risk detection, and/or control of disease progression and in support of survivorship.
We welcome applications from individuals from a broad range of disciplines who have expertise in epidemiology, health services research, behavioral and social sciences with a strong record of research and scholarship in one or more of these substantive areas, applicable to a specific cancer (e.g., prostate cancer) or in common to multiple cancers (e.g., genetic, lifestyle and environmental influences). We are seeking scientists engaged in innovative approaches that hold promise of reducing the burden of cancer in our catchment area. This includes, but is not limited to, the discovery of new risk models (i.e., through AI and Machine Learning), novel or more precise assessments (i.e., improved assays or measures), or through multi-level approaches to adapting evidence-based preventive practices to populations. The successful candidate must demonstrate commitment to remediating health disparities and a record of research collaborations with communities, state and regional health authorities, and clinical partners.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Doctorate in a health-related field (e.g. nursing, medicine or public health; health-related behavioral or social sciences; or biomedical informatics or related field). Expertise in team science, quality improvement, knowledge translation, and/or translational science. Excellence in maintaining an ongoing program of research and training, with external funding, appropriate to rank and expertise.
