The Department of Prosthodontics in the College of Dentistry at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center seeks outstanding applicants for full-time, tenure-track or non-tenure track, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor position.

Responsibilities include clinical and didactic instruction, service, and scholarly activity in all aspects of prosthodontics, including occlusion, fixed prosthodontics, removable prosthodontics, and implant prosthodontics. Direct patient care opportunities are available through the University Dental Practice.

Teaching and patient care duties involved within the clinical instruction and supervision of dental students.

Rank and salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Basic Qualifications:

Candidates must have a DDS, DMD, or foreign equivalent degree and be eligible for full licensure or educational licensure in the State of Tennessee ( https://publications.tnsosfiles.com/rules/0460/0460-02.20190812.pdf ). Candidates should have prior experience in dental education and have demonstrated the ability to work productively in busy didactic and clinical educational environments. A history of publications or evidence of research and scholarly activity is preferred to direct pre- and/or postdoctoral research. Preference will be given to candidates with clinical experience in advanced technologies, digital workflows, and laboratory services that will support the ongoing expansion of an advancing prosthodontic curriculum. Candidates must have successfully completed formal training in a CODA accredited Prosthodontics program and possess a certificate in Prosthodontics. In-depth training in implant dentistry is strongly preferred. Rank and salary are commensurate with experience and qualifications. Salaries offered are based on a market analysis of private practice income and supplemented by the Healthy Smiles Initiative of Tennessee.
