Insight Global is seeking an Operating Engineer for one of our institutional clients in Newark, NJ! This position will report to the Manager of Engineering and be responsbile for the safe operation and maintenance of cogeneration power and heating plants and auxiliary equipment entrusted to their care. The Division is a large workforce and offers substantial areas for growth and great benefits. Other duties include operation and maintenance of equipment (turbine generators, stationary steam boilers, and auxilary equipment, perform comprehensive tests for fuel consumptions pressure, draft conditions, temperatures, steam flow, and other recordings, and emergency repairs to various types of equipment. The engineer will need to keep inventory system up to date, safeguard and record use of equipment, and follow all operational procedures. This position also requires maintenance logs and other administrative duties for inspections. Engineer must be able to pass physical demands of the position, provide proof of NJ Seal license, and preemployment screenings.

Required Skills & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 years experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of stationary steam boilers, generators, turbines, chillers, pumps and electrical distribution system (factory talk)
- 2 years experience in Co Generation plant or high pressure power plant
- New Jersey Red Seal License (may substitute 2 years of experience with NJ Gold Seal Engineer's License)
- Must posses a valid driver's license
