The Operations Control Center Technician at the Megafactory is responsible for monitoring and ensuring the optimal flow of products through various factory shops to maximize production output. This role involves preventing and resolving issues, managing near-term production plans, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Production, Production Control, Material Planning, Demand Planning and Logistics. The technician also participates in daily production meetings, assists with inventory control, and acts as a primary contact for resolving operational issues.

Responsibilities
  • Issue Prevention and Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve production issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and ensure plan attainment. Manage short-term production plans to maximize factory output, optimizing resource allocation and minimizing waste
  • Action Plan Development: Develop and lead the implementation of action plans to quickly recover from production disruptions, ensuring minimal impact on overall performance
  • Product Flow Monitoring: Oversee the flow of products and parts throughout the factory, ensuring adherence to production plans and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Leadership and Point of Contact: Serve as the primary contact for the factory during operational issues, providing timely and effective solutions to material shortages, equipment breakdowns, and quality concerns
  • Daily Production Meetings: Participate in daily production meetings to maintain a close understanding of the factory's health and identify areas for improvement
  • Cross-functional Team Collaboration: Work effectively with Production, Production Control, Material Planning, Demand Planning, Logistics, and other teams to achieve operational excellence
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall performance


Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Problem-solving: Ability to solve problems in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Must have a strong command of the english lanuage, both written and verbal
  • Improvement Recognition: Ability to identify opportunities for operational improvements and enhanced reporting/information visibility
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work day or night shifts based on business needs
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.); advanced Excel modeling skills are a plus
  • Passion: Enthusiasm for Tesla, clean energy, and a desire to make a positive impact on the world

      $27.45 - $52.50/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

      Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
