Summary / Objective:

The Operations Director plays a critical role executing key strategic initiatives to enable PSS' growth, optimizing internal operations of the practice , monitoring / analyzing business results , and leading execution of PSS' Knowledge Management strategy .

Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities:

The Operations Director is responsible for managing day-to-day operations, coordinating / overseeing administrative activities, and project managing key strategic initiatives.

Practice Operations:
  • Operational Oversight:
  • Provide leadership and direction for practice operations, including policy and procedures, project management, dashboarding , and administrative activities
  • S upport business operation s initiatives at the direction of P SS leadership related to coordination with corporate HR, recruiting, resource management, contracts, legal, security, finan ce , project set-up , marketing, IT , learning and development and engage with client-facing project teams and business units
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks, including project risks, and compliance risks
  • Develop risk management strategies and contingency plans to minimize potential impacts on practice operations
  • Project Management:
  • Lead and coordinate project management activities, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and tracking progress against milestones and deliverables
  • Drive execution of strategic initiatives and special projects
  • Manage internal operations staffing levels and workload distribution to ensure optimal utilization of operations and support staff
  • Monitor project assignments and staffing needs to meet operational and project deadlines
  • Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency enhancements across the practice
  • Develop and implement strategies to streamline workflows, optimize resource utilization , and drive continuous improvement
  • Develop and codify policies and procedures as needed, including process mapping
  • Knowledge Management Strategy:
  • Develop a comprehensive knowledge management strategy aligned with practice goals and objective s
  • Identify key knowledge priorities, objectives , and target outcomes
  • Develop knowledge management procedures
  • Collaborate with project teams to implement knowledge management strategy and technology solutions
  • Monitor adoption and lead change management initiatives
Leadership and Development:
  • Lead and mentor project teams , providing guidance, coaching, feedback, and professional development
  • Foster a n inclusive and collaborative team culture, promoting knowledge sharing, teamwork, and service delivery excellence

Travel Required:

Education & Experience :
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration , Operations Management, or related field. Master's degree preferred
  • Proven experience in operations management, project management, and consulting roles within the management consulting industry
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organizatio n
  • Project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement, change management, and organizational development initiatives
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project and Smartsheet
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, derive actionable insights, and make data-driven decisions
  • Results-oriented mindset, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes and exceeding internal customer expectations
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively .
  • Fluency in use of PowerBI

The salary range is $150,000 - $225,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
